NMU men's hockey Wildcats move on to CCHA finals

HOUGHTON, Mich. - The NMU hockey Wildcats are going to the CCHA finals. The Wildcats defeated the Michigan Tech Huskies 4-to-nothing Saturday night to earn a trip to Mankato, Minnesota, to face the Minnesota State Mavericks for the CCHA Mason Cup Finals. Wildcat goalie Beni Halasz made 44-saves for the shutout, and four different players scored in the decisive win.

The Wildcats now travel to Mankato for their matchup against the reigning MacNaughton Cup champion Mavericks on Saturday, March 18, to determine who earns the right to bring home the Mason Cup.
