ISHPEMING, MI— Saturday’s snowstorm is a boon to this weekend’s 137th Annual Ski Jumping Tournament in Ishpeming.
Sponsored by the Ishpeming Ski Club, the event is a stop on the regional Four Hills Tournament and the U.S. Cup. Ski jumpers will try to fly as far as they can off Suicide Hill with the best style.
The U.S. Cup event will be held Friday at 6:30 p.m. The opening ceremony for the Paul Bietila Memorial Tournament starts at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. And the Junior Tournament continues on Sunday, along with the Junior Tournament Nordic combined race.
