NEGAUNEE TOWNSHIP, MI— The UP200 is holding sled dog races this weekend… without any snow on the ground.
The 9th annual UP200 Dryland Dash takes place Saturday and Sunday at Negaunee Township Park. Races will include wheeled rigs, scooters, bikes and cani-cross with 1-, 2-, 4-, and 6-dog teams.
Competitions will take place on a two-mile loop. After the events, the two-day times will be totaled to determine winners of the cash purse.
Spectators can watch for free beginning at 9 a.m. each day.
