MARQUETTE, MI— The City of Marquette is looking for public input on a Sustainable Tourism Management Plan Tuesday night.
The community workshop will focus on the future of tourism in Marquette, to—according to the city—"keep what's good about tourism, deal with what's hard about it, protect the places we love, and make sure it works for the people who live here year-round.”
Officials will hear residents’ perspectives on current pressures and opportunities, explore potential trade-offs, and gain an understanding of what the community would like Marquette to work toward over the long run.
The workshop takes place at 6 p.m. in the conference room of the Municipal Service Center.
A community survey is also available online here.
