Not many visitors to Scotland get to experience the Orkney Islands, but we do. We'll take a ferry to the islands and spend the entire day immersed in the rich history and culture of the area, including a traditional Scottish dinner before returning to the mainland. Yum....
As part of our visit to the Orkney Islands, we'll get to explore SKARA BRAE a stoneage village that was built around the same time as the Great Pyramids of Egypt. It was buried during a sandstorm and in 1850 was unburied during another storm that pounded the Islands. Everything in the village was made of stone including furniture and tools. No metal was found.
