As I look through the itinerary for our trip to sunny Portugal in May, I am amazed at how casual this pleasure tour really is! There is quite a bit of time available for us all to do our own exploring beyond the planned visits to historic and UNESCO sites, tasting the region's wines, etc. On day 7, for example, we get the WHOLE DAY to ourselves to explore the Algarve region. There's so much to see and do, and I plan on soaking in as much of what Portugal has to offer! You can, too. Come to the Peter White Public Library Community Room tomorrow (Sept 30) night at 7pm and find out all about this wonderful, possibly once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit a country where, in many ways, time has stood still for centuries, yet has a solid footing in today's day and age. I hope you can come along with me to sunny Portugal May 20-29, 2016! And remember: if you make your trip deposit on or before November 20th to save yourself $200 (that's 178.37 Euro at the time of this post); money you could use to spend while in Portugal. -Stan Wright
