DNR seeks comment on deer plan

LANSING, MI--   The Michigan DNR is asking those interested in management of the whitetail deer population to provide input on its draft updated Deer Management Plan.

The plan was created in 2010 and updated in 2015 to ensure it reflects the current status of deer in the state.  Officials say the draft plan focuses on desirable goals and objectives, with defined actions outlined to achieve those goals.

The draft updated plan is available on the DNR’s website at michigan.gov/deer.  It will be available for review through July 8th.

Comments may be submitted to dnr-wildlife@michigan.gov or sent to DNR Wildlife Division, 525 West Allegan St., Lansing, MI 48909.
