Cam will capture nesting peregrines on International Bridge

SAULT STE. MARIE, MI--   A pair of peregrine falcons has returned to nest on the International Bridge, and you can now watch them raise a family.

The International Bridge Administration has installed a new camera—called the FalCam—at the nesting site. It can be accessed at saultbridge.com/falcam.

Twenty-four falcon chicks have hatched on the bridge since 2010, when officials started counting.

Peregrines also nest in boxes on the Portage Lake Lift Bridge between Houghton and Hancock. Webcams have been installed there in cooperation with the Copper Country Audubon Club. Those cams can be found at pasty.com/nestbox.html.
