MARQUETTE, MI--   The Chocolay Raptor Center has received a grant from American Electric Power Company.

The AEP Renewables’ Apple Blossom Wind Project gave the rehabilitation center $2,000.

The center lost all income from speaker’s fees because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The money will provide much-needed mice, rats, quail, medical supplies, and support equipment.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
