DNR encourages input on draft wolf management plan

Michigan Department of Natural Resources

LANSING, MI— Residents have an opportunity to comment on a draft of the state’s newest wolf management plan.

Public input will be used to identify prominent issues, assess public attitudes, and review the biological and social science surrounding wolves.

The draft 2022 plan has four main goals: maintain a viable wolf population; facilitate wolf-related benefits; minimize wolf-related conflicts; and conduct science-based and socially responsible management of wolves.

The online questionnaire will be available through August 4. You can find it here.
