More snow coming

MARQUETTE, MI--   A Midwestern storm is expected to bring snow to Michigan, with more than a foot forecast for parts of the Upper Peninsula.

The National Weather Service says the storm is expected to move across the area starting Monday night, with 3 to 6 inches possible.  Snow will continue Tuesday and Wednesday, with an additional 6 to 20 inches expected during that time near Houghton, Baraga, and the Porcupine Mountains.

Heavy lake-effect snow is expected along Lake Superior, and occasional white-out conditions are forecast Tuesday and Wednesday.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
