UPDATE--8/23/13, 12 p.m.-- The Marquette County Sheriff's Office reports Evan Niemi has been found safe and sound. Officials are crediting tips from the public for the quick resolution of the situation.

MARQUETTE, MI-- The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating a runaway teen.
Evan Eero Niemi, 16, was last known to be in the Sawyer area August 12 around 9 a.m.
Niemi is about 5’ 7” and 120 pounds with brown hair and eyes.
Anyone who has seen Niemi or knows his whereabouts is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 906-225-8434 or their local law enforcement agency. Anonymous tips can also be left on the Sheriff’s Office Tip Line at 906-225-8441.
