Manistique fire rekindles

MANISTIQUE, MI--   Firefighters were called back Tuesday to a Manistique house destroyed by fire Monday morning. 

WLUC-TV reports around 1 a.m. personnel found the back of the home at 207 North 4th Street engulfed in flames, endangering the house next to it.  Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire and stayed at the scene for three hours. 

No injuries were reported.

Officials continue to investigate the cause of Monday’s fire and Tuesday’s rekindling.  

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
