Missing Negaunee man found through tracking program

NEGAUNEE, MI--   A missing Negaunee man was found through Project Life Tracker this week.

The Marquette County Sheriff’s Department was notified Wednesday afternoon that the 74-year-old man was last seen on a tractor around 1 p.m.  He suffered from dementia and was a participant in the patient-tracking program.

Using technology, officers were able to find the man in a wooded area in good health.  His tractor had gotten stuck in some dirt.

Deputies assisted in getting the tractor free and returned the man to his residence.

Michigan State Police assisted at the scene.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
