FLORENCE TOWNSHIP, WI-- Officials have found the body of a missing Crystal Falls man in Florence Township, Wisconsin.
Jerry Hamilton, 60, was last seen Sunday evening. His vehicle was found in the Brule River Monday afternoon—half of it stuck on the river ice and half in the open water—about 400 yards upstream from a boat launch.
Wednesday deputies and officials with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources searched the river in a boat. They say they found Hamilton’s body in about five feet of water.
An autopsy is planned.
The incident remains under investigation.
