ELY TOWNSHIP, MI-- Two people suffered minor injuries in a traffic accident in Ely Township Tuesday.
State Police from the Negaunee Post say it happened around 5:30 p.m. on US-41 at County Road CP. Troopers say Thomas Davis, 77, of Marquette was eastbound in a van when he tried to turn into a local business. His vehicle pulled in front of a westbound pickup driven by Collin Place, 20, of Marquette.
Davis and Place were taken to Bell Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Both vehicles sustained significant damage. The accident remains under investigation.
