TAPIOLA, MI-- A woman involved in an accident with a logging truck in Houghton County has died.
The crash happened Wednesday morning on Tapiola Road in front of Karvakko’s Market. A vehicle driven by a 72-year-old Pelkie woman pulled out in front of the southbound truck driven by a 60-year-old Pelkie man.
The woman was taken to Baraga County Memorial Hospital, then transferred to UP Health System Marquette, where she was pronounced dead.
