Baby injured in Marinette County crash passes away from injuries

GROVER, WI— A Wisconsin child has died from injuries she received in a Marinette County traffic crash last week.

Friday around 4:40 p.m., sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to US-41 at Kamm Road in the town of Grover. Investigation reveals Michael Galbraith, 46, of Coleman was driving on Kamm Road and had stopped at a stop sign at US-41. He proceeded into the intersection and struck a vehicle driven by Cody Price, 30, of Oconto.

A passenger who was restrained in a child safety seat, 8-month-old Alana Price, was flown out for medical treatment. She passed away from her injuries on Tuesday.

Police say failure to yield from a stop sign was a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
