Teen dies in motorcycle accident in Grover, WI

GROVER, WI— A Green Bay teen was killed in a motorcycle crash in Marinette County Saturday.

Sheriff’s deputies were notified around 9:50 a.m. of a possible ATV accident in the town of Grover. The caller reported they had heard a crash after seeing a vehicle go by on Loucks Road near England Road.

Upon arrival, deputies realized it wasn’t an ATV. They say 16-year-old Jerin Bucher of Green Bay was driving a sport motorcycle when he lost control, entered the ditch, and crashed.

Bucher, who was wearing a helmet, sustained fatal injuries.

Speed appears to have been a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation by the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office and Marinette County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Assisting in the incident were the Grover-Porterfield Fire Department, Aurora Medical Center-Bay Area EMS, and 180 Auto Towing and Recovery.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
