Local Motorcycle Racer Wins National Titles

Marquette, MI – A local motorcycle racer has won two national championships in his rookie season. Marquette native Ryan Johnson entered 61 races on the Formula USA circuit this year, winning 27 of them and finishing in the top five 56 times. He returned from Miami Homestead Speedway this past weekend with an Amateur Middleweight Superbike championship and an Amateur Acropovic GTU championship. Johnson is now ranked third in the Midwest among a field of 259 riders. He will advance as an expert for the 2005 season.
