Wisconsin – A Wisconsin state legislator hopes to reinstate a bill that will coax delinquent taxpayers to do the right thing. Frank Lasee of Bellevue wants the Department of Revenue to bring back the Website of Shame' which would list the top 100 individuals and corporations that haven't paid up. Lasee says Wisconsin taxpayers owe $750 million and to collect even a portion of the money would be beneficial to the budget situation.
Connecticut, the first state to launch such a website, has collected more that $200 million in back taxes as a result.
