Burt Township, MI – A Luce County township is looking to purchase a section of land on Coast Guard Point. Bert Township Supervisor Bert Durrwachter says the quarter acre of land will be used to benefit the community. The township has applied for a $50,000 Michigan Economic Development loan to purchase the land. Durrwachter says they will know within the next 30 days if the loan was approved.
