Escanaba officials growing impatient over tardy port study

By Anthony Reynolds

Escanaba, MI – The Escanaba City Council is still waiting for the results of a deep water port study from Astra Designs International. City manager Doug Terry says the report from ADI president Jan Mak is long overdue. The city has already paid Mak $200,000 for the study. Terry says if the city council finds the report unsatisfactory, they intend to pursue litigation to get the taxpayers' money back.
