Marquette, MI – An NMU hockey player has scored a hat trick for the second time in the past week. This time it was forward Darin Olver, whose three goals and one assist helped the Wildcats beat Notre Dame by the score of 5-2 at the Berry Events Center last night. NMU's Matt Siddall picked up a goal and an assist, while Mike Santorelli's pair of assists extend his current points streak to five games. Bill Zaniboni had 28 saves between the pipes for Northern.
The Wildcats have won four of their last five games to improve to a 10-8-1 conference record, good for second place. They're currently ranked 18th in the nation in the USCHO.com Top 20. The two teams conclude their series tonight at 7:35 at the Berry Events Center.
