Detroit – The latest quality study shows Detroit's Big Three gets high praise for its new cars but face stiffer competition in the truck market. U.S. automakers had the top-scoring vehicles in five out of ten car categories in Strategic Vision's annual survey. The Ford Fusion prevailed in the medium car category. But Japanese companies took six out of ten categories for trucks, an area once dominated by the Americans. The winners included the Honda Odyssey for minivan and the Nissan Armada for large SUV. General Motors had five winners, though most were lower-volume models, including the Chevy Corvette and the Saturn Vue. Chrysler won in the large car segment with the Dodge Charger and the medium crossover category with the Dodge Magnum.
