Gwinn, MI – The Gwinn school board is seeking input from citizens to determine which improvement projects should top the district's priority list. Superintendent Steve Peffers says an assessment during the 2005-2006 school year revealed that 40-50 individual projects need to be done in each of four school buildings. Improvements needed include new roofs, classroom and bathroom updates and athletic facility repairs. Peffers says the next step is to measure public support. Peffers says that the first priority is to make sure all buildings meet the fire and health department codes and are safe for students. He says the committee will meet every other week.
