Sault Ste. Marie – Edison Sault Electric Company is warning customers to beware of con artists posing as workers to gain access to personal information and property. A company spokesman says that while no local incidents have been reported, some downstate customers have reported being scammed by someone posing as a utility worker to solicit credit card information. If you suspect a call is fraudulent, hang up and call Edison Sault directly at 800-562-4960.
