Houghton, MI – Michigan Technological University has been named one of the top wired colleges by a national magazine. PC Magazine ranked MTU seventh on its list of Top 20 Wired Colleges. The university was cited for involving students in information technology and system administration early in their educational careers. Criteria focused on three areas of technology: academic, student resources, and infrastructure. The magazine also looked at the university's Enterprise Program, specifically Blue Marble, in which students provide solutions to industrial and governmental sponsors.
