UP 200 race plans getting into high gear
Marquette County, MI – Preparations for the UP 200 Sled Dog Championship and Midnight Run are hitting a fever pitch. Pat Black is executive director of the Marquette Country Convention and Visitors Bureau. She says officials are making sure race plans--like musher bags and groomed trails--are firmly in place. Race headquarters open Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the Marquette Holiday Inn. Opening ceremonies for the Midnight Run take place Friday at 5:45 p.m. at Larry's Family Foods in Gwinn.
