Two arrested for stealing credit card

By Nicole Walton

MARQUETTE, MI – Two people have been arrested for stealing a credit card and using it at Marquette area stores. Marquette Police say 30 year old Adrian Gervais of downstate, Perry and 26 year old Jaclyn Dagnais of Marquette allegedly took the card from a Marquette resident when they stopped to see him at home. The two then either used or tried to use the card at several businesses in town. Both have been charged with one count each of "stealing/retaining a financial transaction device without consent" and "illegal sale or use of a financial transaction device." Both charges are felonies, punishable by up to 4 years in prison and a five thousand dollar fine. Gervais and Dagenais remain lodged in the Marquette County Jail.
