Marquette, MI – Marquette General Health System has selected someone for its chief executive officer position. The board of trustees has approved a recommendation from the CEO Search Committee to extend an offer to one of the candidates who applied for the top spot. The candidate's identity is not being released, pending acceptance of the offer.
The nationwide search to replace retiring CEO Bill Nemacheck yeilded more than 200 applicants. The field was narrowed to six, who were invited to Marquette in early September for interviews. MGH officials say a firm arrival timeline has not been finalized.
