UN-DATED – The Michigan Department of Natural Resources has decided to extend snowmobile season. The season was able to be extended by late snowfall and grants to groom the state-managed snowmobile trail system through April 6th. The usual date to end trail grooming is on March 31st. Michigan's trail system covers 6,500 miles of maintained trails. The Upper Peninsula has over 3,000 of trails, all of which will remain open for snowmobilers for the extended time period.
