UNDATED – Tuesday's primary features a couple of contested races for district judge. In Chippewa County, five candidates are running for one, six-year term on the 91st District bench. They include Steven Cannello, Elizabeth Church, Leanne Deuman, Mark Dobias, and Charles Palmer. All are from Sault Ste. Marie. Two will advance to the November election.
And in Houghton County, the race for a seat on the 97th District Court is between Douglas Edwards of Lake Linden, Michael Makinen of Hubbel, and Mark Wisti of Houghton. The top two vote-getters will face off in November's general election.
