UNDATED – The Department of Natural Resources has announced that some facilities will be open to the public on state furlough days. During state furlough days, most state employees are required to take 6 days off over the next 4 months without pay to help with state budget reductions. While some facilities will be closing, some will remain open including all state parks, state recreations areas, and state forest campgrounds, conservation officers will work through furlough days, the DNR's report all poaching room, the state's 6 fish hatcheries, the Ralph A. MacMullan conference center, and the DNR owned boating sites and boat harbors. Furlough days include the Fridays of June 19th, July 24th, August 7th, and 21st, and September 4th.
