Marquette, MI – Marquette firefighters are hitting the streets this week to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. During the annual Fill-the-Boot campaign firefighters will stand at certain intersections in the city and collect money from passing motorists. All funds placed in the empty boots will be used to help local families affected by neuromuscular diseases.
The campaign takes place Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Third and Hewitt and McClellan and Cleveland intersections, and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Front and Washington, Lakeshore and East Baraga, and Third and Hewitt intersections.
