Marquette, MI – Marquette General Hospital has been named one of the nation's Top 100 Hospitals for cardiovascular care. Thomson Reuters examined the performance of 971 hospitals by studying the outcomes of patients diagnosed with heart failure and heart attacks, and also for those who had coronary bypass surgery and procedures like angioplasties.
It's the fourth year MGH has made the Top 100 list. The study found those hospitals have 17 percent lower mortality rates for heart attack patients and 27 percent lower mortality rates for bypass patients.
