Tax credits looked at for future projects

By Associated Press

UNDATED – Democrats who control the legislature are supporting tax credits for economic development projects and key Wisconsin industries like dairy farming and food processing. The legislature's budget committee Wednesday approved the package of bills as part of a push to show democrats are trying to stimulate an economy still suffering from high unemployment. Representative Mark Pocan said Wednesday was like, "jobapalooza," and shows the legislature's top priority is jobs and the economy. But republicans complained the bills were too little too late and designed mostly to prop up the political standing of the majority party.
