Calumet, MI – The North Woods Conservancy Group in Calumet is facing a deadline to make a down payment on property they would like to purchase for public use. The land, located on the Conglomerate Falls property, in Ahmeek totals 40 ares of woods and a quarter mile of river. The group has until October 1st to raise $30,000. President of the conservancy group, John Griffith, says the purchase is a great opportunity to preserve and enhance a natural area.
