Allouez Township, MI – The North Woods Conservancy has purchased 40-acres of property containing the Conglomerate Falls on the Gratiot River in Allouez Township. The property was secured with a $30,000 down payment. Funding was raised over the summer by the NWC. The remaining $85,000 will be raised by renting out a cabin on the property for $500 a week. Those who donated over $500 during the fund raising campaign will enjoy a free week at the cabin. Other donors will be put in a drawing for a weeks stay.
The NWC is also seeking organizations to help maintain the property and improve the cabin. For more information go online to www.northwoodsconservancy.org.
