Rapid River, MI – Three suspects have been arrested in connection with a robbery at a Rapid River credit union Wednesday.
The crime happened around 2:15 p.m. at the Great Lakes First Federal Credit Union. State Police from the Gladstone Post say a man wearing a camouflage ski mask entered the credit union, used a handgun to steal an undisclosed amount of money, then fled on foot.
Troopers say two suspects were taken into custody early Thursday morning and lodged in the Marquette County Jail, and a third suspect was arrested and lodged in the Delta County Jail. They say a large amount of the stolen funds was recovered. Names of the suspects are being withheld, pending arraignment.
Assisting the FBI in the investigation are troopers from the Gladstone Post, the Delta County Sheriff's Department, the Menominee County Sheriff K-9, Gladstone Public Safety, Escanaba Public Safety, and detectives from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team.
