Iron River, MI – Police are searching for a suspect in connection with the robbery of the Superior Iron Range Community Federal Credit Union in Iron River Tuesday.
Officials say a man walked into the bank with a handgun around 10:30 a.m. Central Time and took an undisclosed amount of money. He fled the scene on a green four-wheeler.
West Iron County Public Schools were put on lockdown for about two hours after the robbery. Officials say a person of interest in the case lived near the school.
The suspect is described as a 5'9" white male with a medium build. He was wearing green coveralls, a black helmet, and a black mask.
No one was injured in the incident.
