The annual 4th of July parade starts at 2 p.m. Thursday. It will proceed down Washington Street from McClellan Avenue to Third Street and end on Baraga. Staging for the parade begins at 10 a.m.

And Independence Day activities conclude Thursday at dusk with fireworks at the lower harbor. They’ll be choreographed to music that can be heard on 100.3 FM the Point.
