Profile and Interview: Octavio Mas-Arocas, guest conductor of the Marquette Symphony Orchestra

Mr. Mas-Arocas currently serves as the Music Director and Conductor of the Mansfield Symphony in Ohio, as well as Director of Orchestras at Ithaca College, New York. Previously, he has served as the Director of Orchestral Studies and Associate Professor of Conducting at the Baldwin Wallace University Conservatory of music, Director of Orchestral Studies at Lawrence University, and principal conductor of the Green Bay Symphony.

"Fantastic Tales, Sumptous Melodies," the final concert of the Marquette Symphony Orchestra season, takes place Saturday, April 21st 2018 at 7:30pm in Kaufman Auditorium.  Tickets are available at the door or at any EZ-Ticket outlet location.

Kurt lives in Marquette with his family and can’t imagine living anywhere else. He loves music, games, running, being near water, and a fine cold brew coffee.
