LSCP aiding businesses formerly helped by GINCC

MARQUETTE, MI— The Lake Superior Community Partnership is expanding services in the West End of Marquette County, now that the Greater Ishpeming Negaunee Area Chamber of Commerce is no more.

Christopher Germain is CEO of the LSCP. He says the Partnership has always had a strong alliance with the GINCC and intends to expand programs in that part of the county through an advisory council, a dedicated West End strategy, and a new physical space.

Germain says the LSCP is developing unique tools for the area’s needs.

“For example, is a west-end-specific package around how to plan events there, right? How to cater and where you can hold them. It’s something that we’ve heard from a lot of businesses that they’d like to see more of.”

Germain stresses the LSCP expansion was at the request of the GINCC Board of Directors after the group dissipated.

He adds the Partnership has adopted a new strategic plan focusing on accessibility and being where businesses need it to be.
