The 2026 Live on the Lawn at Lunch series draws to a close with perennial favorite Kitty Donohoe on Thursday, August 13. A Michigan Emmy award-winning songwriter, she describes her music as ‘folky, bluesy, Irishy, American, Canadianish’. She backs herself on piano, guitar and cittern with equal finesse, but she sees these skills as mostly providing the foundation for the music she writes, both songs and instrumentals.

Bring your chair or blanket, pack a picnic lunch, or stop by Wildman’s Food Truck, Main Squeeze Lemonade, or The Boho Blender. This music series continues to be free to the public thanks to generous donations from The Friends of the Escanaba Public Library, Molina Health of Michigan, and Julie Moker. Inclement weather moves the event indoors, and attendees will be allowed to bring their lunches inside.
