A Public Candidate Forum will be held Tuesday, October 6th, 2026 for Ishpeming Mayoral and City Council candidates running in the November 3rd Midterm Election. All eight candidates have been invited to participate. The League of Women Voters of Marquette County will moderate the Forum.
The Forum will be held in the Ishpeming High School Auditorium, 319 E. Division St. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the Forum begins at 6:00 p.m. No campaign clothing, buttons, or hats may be worn by the audience or candidates. The audience may meet and speak with the candidates after the Forum. The Forum will be live-streamed to the LWVMC YouTube Channel and recorded for later viewing.

Each candidate will answer the same questions submitted by constituents. Ishpeming City residents can submit questions by emailing lwvmqtco@gmail.com in advance or by writing them on cards provided at the Forum. Questions may be combined or edited for clarity and pertinence.
