The Marquette Elks Club is holding a fundraising dinner Tuesday evenings from 5:30 to 6:30 eastern at the Elks Lodge located at the corner of Bluff and Front Street in Marquette. The public is invited to attend.
The homemade meal includes salad, entree, and dessert.
Dinner proceeds are used for activities and services that support children and veterans in our community.

The Superior Watershed Partnership (SWP) and the Great Lakes Climate Corps (GLCC) are pleased to announce a new household electronic waste recycling collection site in Marquette that is open to the public every Wednesday from 12 PM - 4 PM, beginning April 2nd.
The public is encouraged to bring household electronic waste, including but not limited to: televisions, phones, computers, printers, etc. to SWP's Climate Office to be recycled. The SWP drop-off site is located in the Lakeshore Park complex across from McCarty’s Cove at 519 N. Lakeshore Boulevard. Suggested donation: $5 per drop-off.
The League of Women Voters of Marquette County will hold its next general membership meeting on Wednesday, May 7th at 6:45 p.m. Social time begins at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held in Studio 1 on the Lower Level of the Peter White Public Library, 217 N. Front St., Marquette. The meeting will feature a panel presentation: "Know Your Local Government". Leaders from Marquette County and municipal governments will speak on how citizens can get involved in their local communities.
The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization that encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.

Free groceries for all households experiencing food insecurity.
Drive-thru food distribution, with check-in beginning no later than 9:00 AM Central Time and distribution beginning promptly at 10:00 AM Central Time. Event ends when all food has been distributed.
Information required for each household: Full name, state of residence, household size & make-up, and eligibility. Eligible if household already receives food assistance, meets federal income guidelines (at or below 300% of federal poverty level), or is in need of emergency food. No need to show proof of eligibility, identity, citizenship, or residency. NO ONE WILL BE TURNED AWAY!! Max. 3 households per vehicle.
