Plea entered by Gwinn suspect accused of strangulation

MARQUETTE, MI--   A Gwinn man accused of choking his girlfriend has pleaded guilty in the case.

Brandon Strohm, 29, was arrested April 2 after Forsyth Township Police were called to a residence on a domestic violence report.  Investigation revealed Strohm tried to strangle his 26-year-old girlfriend during the assault.

Strohm pleaded Tuesday to aggravated domestic violence.  His sentencing is set for June 1. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
