Hancock bow and arrow suspect bound over

HOUGHTON, MI--   A Hancock resident charged with attempted murder has been bound over to Houghton County Circuit Court.  

James Walters, 58, allegedly shot a 56-year-old Hancock man in the shoulder with a compound bow and arrow in February during an argument on Summit Street.  Police believe alcohol was involved.

Walters’ circuit court arraignment is set for Friday.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
