Houghton man bound over for motorcycle chase

HOUGHTON, MI-- A Houghton motorcyclist who led police on a 60-mile high-speed chase has been bound over to circuit court.

Rudolph Voght, 31, is charged with third-degree fleeing a police officer, punishable by up to five years in prison. He’s also charged with driving on a suspended license.

Voght is accused of fleeing the scene when troopers from the Calumet Post tried to stop him May 11^th. He led police around the Copper Country before surrendering on M-38 just outside of Ontonagon.

Arraignment is set for June 15^th in Houghton County Circuit Court.
